Automation Electronics WAG350 Water and Gas Injection ControllerAutomation and Electronics, Inc announces a new hardware platform for our field proven Water and Carbon Dioxide Injection Controller application. Our WAG350 H2O / CO2 Injection Controller adds a second SCADAPack based off-the-shelf product to our oil field injection controller line-up. Based on the new-32 bit SCADAPack350 hardware platform, the WAG350 uses the field proven 608C injection software along with the same AutoCom communication protocol to give existing customers a plug-in upgrade for their injection systems. The WAG350 includes new features such as a user friendly operator interface which uses a wireless Bluetooth radio to communicate to a rugged hand held Field PC or laptop computer. The 32-bit SCADAPack350 hardware also has an Ethernet port for communication systems that utilize Ethernet Radios.

The software features a NIST-14 density algorithm for applications that require very accurate CO2 flow calculations. In addition to standard wellhead monitoring and control functions, the WAG350 also keeps track of the daily and monthly-injected gas and water volumes, as well as operating and shutdown times. These can be useful for production tracking, and record keeping, as well as for reservoir engineering purposes.

The WAG350 has advanced diagnostic features such as Step Rate Testing, Step Pressure Testing, and Pressure Falloff Testing that can be used to analyze oil field formations.
