GT-406 Four Wire Wireline Transient Protector

Last changed May 23, 2007 - 12:35pm

Overview

The GT-406 Four-Wire Transient Protector features transient surge protection for a leased line modem from lightning induced surges on 600 Ohm leased telephone lines.

Balanced 4 wire 600 Ohm transmit and receive audio is fed through this card to provide protection to the modem audio circuitry. The primary protection is provided by three terminal gas tubes to ground. The signal is then passed through inductors in series, and then the device side is protected by a fast acting transorb.
