Wireless Solutions Product Information

We provide several wireless products and integrate wireless communication solutions with most of our controller products.

Communication Products Overview

Although most of our controller boards have built in serial or Ethernet hardware for communications, there is frequently a need for additional communication channels. These boards provide some expansion options for our standard controller boards.

Power Converter, Regulation, and Conditioning Boards

During our many years of oil field related work, we have refined several power products to clean up oil field power for use by our controller products. The following are a few of our current products.

Surge Protection Termination and Signal Conditioning Boards

Our surge protection cards provide protection for analog inputs, discrete inputs and outputs, power lines and communication channels.

Analog to digital inputs

GT-1420
The GT-1420 provides in-line surge protection for a single 4-20 mA analog loop.

GT-4420
The GT-4420 provides in-line surge protection for up to four two-wire 4-20 mA analog loops.

Input/Output Boards

Over the years, we have produced a wide variety of I/O related boards for our controllers. As time has progressed, we have moved from the historical ribbon cabled boards toward networked 485 based smart I/O boards. This page lists most of the current models and many of the expansion cards that are still used when interfacing field I/O to PLCs.

Controller Boards

Automation and Electronics has been producing programmable controllers since 1978. In addition, we have OEM relationships with other controller manufacturers and have ported some of our more popular applications to their hardware for customers with special needs.

If you are looking for simple remote I/O monitoring and control or for intelligent expansion products for your existing controllers, we have an increasing selection of networkable Smart I/O Cards to select from as well.

We also have a wide range of non-integrated products. Some of these are used in our RTU and PLC products and others are sold on their own to other customers who integrate them with their own hardware.

General Purpose Controllers

Software products

Our Falcon development system is used for developing firmware for our 65816 based controllers. It is a multi-tasking priority based ANSI-C development environment, featuring software emulation of our hardware platforms for completely virtual development.

Our OPC server is used in Microsoft Windows environments to provide communications between host clients and our products.

Products for Rod Pump Control

Automation and Electronics has been supplying products for the Rod Pump Control industry since the 1990's. We originally produced hardware for SWEPI and took over their software development for our controller in 1994. Many upgrades and enhancements to both the hardware and software platform have occurred since then, leading to the current AEPOC-2100 product. The recent upgrades to the development system have dramatically sped up the software and made it easier to use with hand held devices. The EZ-Viewer software has made PC based configuration simple.

Products for the Oil and Gas Industry

Automation and Electronics, Inc., started out building products for Wyoming's oil and gas industry in 1956. Since that time, the solutions we provide has ballooned and the installed base of products reaches from Barrow, Alaska, to oilfields in California, Texas, Louisiana, Michigan, Montana, and many spots in between. If you have an oil field automation need and don't see a solution here, give us a call. Our board level products can be programmed for new applications at competitive prices. If an existing board doesn't meet the need and the quantity is large enough, we will be happy to work with you to design a custom solution.
