These devices provide a rugged interface to controllers
Oyster HHDT Hand Held Data Terminal
The HHDT is manufactured for Automation Electronics by Oyster Terminals Ltd. It was developed as a replacement for the less capable DUKS unit for our pump off controllers.
Its enhanced capabilities include the transmission of the full 7-bit ASCII character set, a much larger selection of function keys, and the ability to display dynamometer cards graphically. It responds to most ANSI VT-100 control sequences appropriate for a hand held terminal and transmits extended codes for special function keys to allow their identification and use in the controller.
DUKS Display Unit with Key Pad and Serial Interface
The DUKS is a rugged, hand held, controller powered, display device.
It is designed around a single chip microprocessor which interprets RS-232 ASCII codes from the 608 or 6008 RTU boards, and displays the corresponding information on the LCD display. The microprocessor also scans the key pad for input and then outputs RS-232 ASCII codes to the 608 or 6008 RTU.
The DUKS board is a self-contained low power unit, and is powered with +12 VDC from the controller via the 9 pin D connector. All signals to and from the controller are standard RS-232 levels, and this unit can operate as a stand-alone terminal.
HMI Device Product Information
Automation and Electronics, Inc. integrates a wide variety of externally produced HMI devices with our products, adapted to a wide range of environments and classifications. We also utilize various software based or Bluetooth based interfaces depending on the product to provide a suitable HMI for the customer.
We also have two custom produced hand held or mountable HMI devices that provide an integrated keyboard and display for customers that want a more rugged interface than a PC for configuration purposes.
Component Products Overview
We also have a wide range of non-integrated products. Some of these are used in our RTU and PLC products and others are sold on their own to other customers who integrate them with their own hardware.
