While no frequently asked questions page will answer all of your questions, it is our hope that this will be informative and will at least answer a few of the basic questions that you might have about us.
Company
- Where do you do work?
Response:
While our focus is primarily in the Rocky Mountain region, we have done work in many other states and a few foreign countries - primarily Canada. Feel free to contact our sales staff to see if we can help you with your next project.
- How long have you been in business?
Response:
Automation and Electronics, Inc. was founded in 1956 by William Poe. Control of the company passed to Chris Poe upon his retirement. Chris Poe later sold the company to Daney and Stuart Tanner who now run the company. The company has now been passed on to their son Hank Tanner.
Electrical contracting division
- Do you do residential wiring?
Response:
Our electricians are certainly qualified to do work for residential customers, but our focus is in the industrial, power distribution, and mining and oil field electrification fields. We suggest you look for an electrical contractor who specializes in residential work.
Industrial systems division
- Will you design and build this board I've come up with?
Response:
In the past, we have attempted to work with people who had ideas for hardware they wanted to produce. We have generally not found these projects to be mutually beneficial, so it is likely that we would not be interested.
